Henry Quick Vacuum Hose Repair | Step-by-Step Guide

Henry Quick Vacuum Hose Repair – Step by Step Guide

Has the hose on your Henry Quick vacuum cleaner split? Don’t panic — this guide will show you exactly how to replace it. With a few basic tools and a new hose, you can get your Henry Quick working like new again without paying for expensive repairs.

What You’ll Need

  • Replacement Henry Quick hose (available here)

  • Torx T10 screwdriver (star-shaped)

  • Pliers

  • Glue (superglue gel or epoxy resin both work)

  • Cloth

Step 1: Remove the Hose from the Floor Tool

  1. Undo the three Torx screws on the stem (two visible, one tucked in the middle).

  2. Pull the stem apart. Don’t worry — I’ll show how it goes back together later.

  3. Grip the damaged hose and pull it free. It’s glued in, so don’t expect it to unscrew. Use pliers if needed.

  4. Cut a small slit to uncoil the hose from the connector.

  5. Wipe the connectors with a cloth to remove dust and debris.

⚠️ Safety tip: Wear eye protection when removing the hose — it can come out suddenly.

Step 2: Access the Connectors Inside the Floor Tool

To fit the new hose, you’ll need clear access:

  1. Remove two screws from the back, four along the rear, and three along the front of the floor tool.

  2. Unscrew the four screws from the end cap.

  3. Lift off the top cover carefully. If it won’t budge, double-check all screws are out.

  4. Remove the stem and unplug it from the circuit board so you don’t strain the wires.

Step 3: Fit the New Hose

  1. Apply glue inside the connector.

  2. Take your steel-reinforced replacement hose and twist it anticlockwise into place (never clockwise — it will pop out).

  3. Pull and test to make sure it’s secure with no gaps.

  4. Add extra glue or epoxy around the edge if needed.

  5. Repeat the process on the other connector — this end is usually easier.

  6. Always twist anticlockwise and double-check for gaps.

Step 4: Reassemble the Floor Tool

  1. Plug the stem back into the circuit board. Tuck the wires neatly into their channels.

  2. Refit the top cover, pressing it down so there are no gaps.

  3. Reinstall all screws, including the end cap screws.

  4. Thread the hose through the U-shaped part and secure it with the outer edge screw first, then the others.

  5. Check the belt while you’re here — push it back into place if needed.

Final Checks

  • Gently pull on the hose to confirm it’s locked in securely.

  • Bend and move it as if vacuuming — it should flex naturally without slipping out.

  • Double-check all screws are tight and the cover is flush.

And that’s it — your Henry Quick hose repair is complete! 🎉
