How to Replace a Split Henry Quick Floor Tool Hose

If your Henry Quick vacuum floor tool hose has split, don’t worry — you can replace it yourself with a few tools and a little patience. This guide walks you through the full process, from removing the old hose to fitting the new one securely.

What You’ll Need

  • Replacement Henry Quick hose (available to BUY HERE)

  • Torx T10 screwdriver (star-shaped)

  • Pliers

  • Glue (superglue gel or epoxy resin)

  • Cloth

Step 1: Remove the Old Hose

  1. Pull the securing clip on the stem to release to top of the hose

  2. Pull the hose out of the stem.

  3. Grip and pull the damaged hose free from the floor tool (pliers may help). The hose is glued in, so it won’t screw out.

  4. For the second end, cut a small slit to uncoil the last section, then pull it out.
⚠️ Be cautious: the hose can come free suddenly, so eye protection is recommended.

Step 2: Prepare the Floor Tool

  1. Wipe the connectors with a cloth to remove dust.

  2. To fit the new hose, you’ll need clear access — so remove the top cover:

    • Two screws on the back

    • Four along the rear

    • Three along the front

    • Four in the end cap

  3. Lift off the top cover (check all screws are out first).

  4. Remove the stem and unplug it from the circuit board to avoid straining wires.

Step 3: Fit the New Hose

  1. Apply glue inside the connector.

  2. Insert the steel-reinforced replacement hose anticlockwise (never clockwise or it will pop out).

  3. Twist and push until secure — stretch and turn if needed for a tighter fit.

  4. Check there are no gaps and pull firmly to test.

  5. Optional: seal the joint with epoxy or extra glue for added security.

  6. Repeat the process for the other connector (this one is usually easier, as you can see the hose inside).

Step 4: Reassemble the Floor Tool

  1. Plug the stem back into the circuit board, tucking wires neatly into channels.

  2. Refit the top cover, pressing down so it sits flush.

  3. Replace all screws, including those in the end cap.

  4. Check the belt is seated properly before closing everything up.
  5. Push the upper hose into the stem and push in the securing clip.

Final Checks

  • Gently bend and pull the hose — it should flex naturally and stay secure.

  • Ensure the tool reassembles with no gaps or loose parts.

  • Your Henry Quick is now ready for use with a brand-new hose.
