Is it best just to get the hepa filter rather than the conventional 12 inch one

Is the hepa filter worth buying rather than the standard 12 inch one? Does it really filter out more than the standard ones. Most importantly.... how long does the hepa filter last at hepa filtering I'm hoping at least one year.

Hi yes these are fully certified in every class other than abspestos dust. They filter out much smaller particles than the standard one making them perfect for allergy sufferers. I would expect in a normal household for this to last more than a few years. Perhaps less if using in a dusty wood work shop or similar. That said it would g stop filtering, it's just as more likely to get clogged after such a long time. To avoid this Tap tap any dust out that gets in there every couple of months , and the suction will be maintained that way.

Can i put a hepa filter in a henry extra?

Hi Adam. Yes, if you have the Henry Xtra, the model number will be HXR200 / HVX200-11 / HVX200-22, which takes the 12"filter. Anyone else reading this, all model numbers with 200 in them will be able to use this filter
